Scroll

Words

All learned. See them in History.

• Page transition

An animation between two pages, so the old page fades or slides away while the new one comes in, instead of a hard cut.

• Parallax

Layers move at different speeds as you scroll: far things slowly, near things faster.

• Pinning

A section holds still on the screen while you keep scrolling, then lets go at the end.

• Scroll snap

Scrolling that always stops neatly on an item or section, instead of anywhere in between.

• Scroll-linked animation

An animation that follows your scroll exactly: scroll down and it moves forward, scroll up and it rewinds.

• Stacked cards

Cards that stick at the top one after another as you scroll, each a little lower than the last, so they pile up like a deck.
