The large first section at the top of a page. It usually has a headline, a short subheading, a main button (the call to action, or CTA) and a picture or animation.

Not to be confused with
- Full-bleed
A hero is the first big section at the top; full-bleed only means something runs edge to edge, and it can be anywhere on the page.
